I admit that I like the idea of free IUDs, they're long term, without the need for people to remember taking them, humans are stupid and wont remember their meds, young ones especially young ones. Humans are driven to breed, and talking to them just doesn't work. Did you know that the frontal lobe of the brain isn't finished maturing until a person is in their mid 20s? The frontal lobe is responsible for emotional control/balance and for determining the value of risk taking behavior. By scientific standards that means humans are retarded until their mid to early 20s.

You in America don't get free contraceptives ? I'm sorry is this a joke that I'm too European to understand ?

Whitney Suzanne Junelle Brooks

america discovering about basic things the rest of the world knows for decades.

Mattie Mahon

Sorry, I'm not a westerner, could someone point me to the "funny" part?

Sarah McMurrough

IUDs in the US are a dangerous road. Be careful what doctors like to prescribe, cause there are a lot of companies producing cheaply but marketing expensively the worst options. Not that IUDs are wrong at all, just inform yourself about the specific ones that are being sold to you. Some of them resulted in heavy complications for some women.

There's no point in banning abortions because people will find ways to get them illegally anyways. Doesn't that argument sound familiar?

Katie Lopez

Just educate people. It shouldn't be that hard to tell teens how to prevent children.

Bonnie Clyde

Nah. The american right wing wants to ban abortions, IUDs and Sex Ed. Because they're intelligent people.

Kristine Gallegos

Having it free does help, but I think it was the privacy of it all that made it popular.

Poe Zarni Kyaw

You did what? Are you stupid? Why would you use logic to solve complicated and easy to solve problems, when we can say It's the devil's work and blame teenagers for doing something completely normal... Come on..

Martie June

I wonder if the STD rate went up at the same time.

Geetanjali Gajadar

Inb4 this comment section becomes a shit show with "expert" opinions about abortion

Tami Johnston-Cook

Democracy is shit because people such as antivaxers have things like rights.

Tayona Bagdavadze

Or, you know, we could just make it illegal for a woman to decide what is right for her body and her situation, and just let the government decide.

Kenny Brown

"without parental consent" im pretty sure having kids or not is your fucking business and none else (except your husband)

Vanu Vekaria

unviable pregnancies doesn't mean what they think it means, and its nonviable not unviable.

Harsha Mehrotra

The fuck is with Americans and making everything mosaic words? FBI, NSA, CIA, IUD, IED, SCOTUS, FDA, and I could go on for literal days and weeks. You hate the English so much that you don't even want to speak English?

Jeta Jeta

the problem i think with this birtcontrol is that it hurt a whole lot to put it in since it sits in the uterus, which means you have to widen the cervical canal and alot of women are very sensitive there. Maybe some of you have been having sex and it gets ”too deep” so it hurts, that’s when you hit the cervix. it still hurts less than giving birth tho.

Joan Ellen Erbstoesser

I know I sound elitist, but other states follow our lead for a reason.
